This piece was commissioned for the Orlando Championsgate hotel. It is intricately hand-cut from a vintage map of Florida.

The artwork features a flock of birds converging in mid-air, embodying the title “A Confluence.” This piece focuses entirely on the kinetic energy of the flock. The vintage Florida map provides an earthy palette of blues, yellows, and greens that reflect the texture the wings of the birds. The birds are pinned so the cutouts elements cast shifting shadows that give the flock a lifelike, three-dimensional presence.
