The artwork features three overlapping layers of hand-cut digital archival prints in red, purple-blue, and black. The intricate cutouts depict the abstract, skeletal side-profile of a gas turbine generator, mounted with pins to create depth and shadows against a white wall." I was commissioned to interpret  a gas turbine generator for the headquarters of a major insurance company.
Burning From Within is a diptych that transforms industrial engineering into ethereal paper sculpture.

Using digital archival prints as my material, these works are painstakingly hand-cut to strip away the weight of the metal engine, leaving behind only its skeleton and movement. The works utilize a color palette of red, blue, and black to separate the mechanical layers, creating a visual map of the engine’s internal heat and motion. At 122cm x 91.5cm each, these large-scale cutouts play with the juxtaposition of heavy industry and delicate craft.
