This is my last post about my trip to Miami (honest!). But I couldn’t resist sharing our trip to Fairfield Botanical Gardens.
I love visiting a botanical garden. I’m always so inspired by being in nature. And this one didn’t disappoint.
It has a large collection of palm trees (no surprise) some of which are very rare. It was so great to see them growing outside, which wouldn’t happen here.
They also had some green houses and an amazing butterfly house.
Here are a few of my highlights.
Butterfly feeding time!
A visitor to the garden
Some palm trees
There had been a lot of rain recently so the garden was flooded in parts
Another palm tree
The flower of the canon ball tree
A Chihuly sculpture looking right at home
orchids and palms looking very jungle like
Another type of palm
so many palms so little time
A beautiful flower, though I’ve no idea what it is
I love the way the light catches these leaves
I love the markings on these leaves
Check out this beautiful flower
