02 Oct What do you listen to all day?
Do you listen to music when you work? Or do you prefer speech radio?
I like to listen to BBC 6 music in the morning. I find I can’t work to too much news and other programmes like that, so BBC Radio 4 is out of the question. Mostly BBC Radio 4 just makes me angry and I start shouting at the radio. I do like some of their comedy and some plays so I use iplayer to listen to them.
I often listen to audiobooks in the afternoon, especially when I’ve got lots of cutting to do. I find it very relaxing and it helps me focus on the task but also distracts me enough. My favourites are PG Wodehouse and Agatha Christie. They are not depressing in anyway but are interesting and I can dip in and out without really worrying about following the plot.
I also like a good podcast, my current favourites are The Jealous Curator, Art For Your Ear, they are so informative and fun, listen here.
I also just binge listened to the Elizabeth Gilbert Magic Lessons podcast, they were really brilliant, she is such a great speaker, listen here, make sure you start from the beginning otherwise they don’t really make sense (I didn’t!)
What about you? Do you have any favourite podcasts or audio book recommendations? I’d love to hear them.
