We have a lot of grey in London, so it seemed fitting to make some ‘London Grey’ birds. The sky often settles into a beautiful grey dullness for weeks on end (or does it just seem like that). There is something so beautiful about it, it kind of muffles everything and slows the world down. The world takes on a grey tinged hue and so I transformed some seagulls into London Grey birds, they have absorbed the grey and become grey.
The sculpture is hand cut from a vintage map of London and is 74 x 64 cm. It’s £3000 and is for sale here via TAG Fine Arts. Please contact them for further details.
