I had a few days in New York on my own and had some plans but mostly I wandered.
I loved my wanderings. Walking the streets and observing and absorbing the sites and sounds. I would head out with a vague direction in mind and see what I might discover on the way. New York is so hectic and crowded that it was really nice to find my own stillness in the city by watching and taking in all the new things.
Here are a few pics from my wanderings.
some mini cats in a gallery on the Bowery

Unexpected view of the Empire State Building
Lovely tiles, though I don’t remember where

Not sure I could ever tire of this view
So many straight lines in New York
The best views are always from roof tops
Central Park and it feels like Manhattan is miles away, even though you’re right in it.
Loved the blue and green combination
Blue sky and buildings, can’t be beaten
For a Londoner New York feels very closed in some how
