It’s been a hectic few months and the past couple of weeks have been pretty intense. I didn’t have a day off for a couple of weeks. But it was worth it. Last Thursday I delivered all the works for my exhibition ‘A Conference of Birds’ to the framers. I was pretty exhausted but also very excited and happy.
This is quite a new thing for me letting the framers put the work in the frames, previously I had been buying bespoke ready made frames and placing the works in them myself.
This was a lot of work and hard work at that. Fluff and dust was the bane of my life and particularly the bigger works were very difficult to handle.
One of my goals this year was to cut out the struggle in my life, and framing had always been a big area of struggle for me.
But not anymore. I switched to new framers and now I deliver the works to them and they do the rest.
It’s so simple and easy. It feels great. They do a much much much better job than I could ever do.
The joy I feel every time I go along there to pick up the lovely framed works is indescribable.
And now my largest collection of works to date is with them at the moment. I can’t wait to start sharing my new works with you.
