Happy New Year

This is me in the Winwood Area of Miami, not knowing what to do with my hands!

Happy New Year to you.

This year I’ll mostly be channelling my inner fearless artist. What about you?

I took a long break from blogging, somehow I needed it but now I’m back and I already have a long list of posts to do. I’m going to blogging less this year. I think I exhausted myself last year by trying to blog 5 times a week. This year I’ll be aiming for 1-2 posts a week, which feels more doable. I’m hoping this will give me a bit more time to get on with other tasks and making more art.

I’m working on some new pieces at the moment, I’d like to say it’s been easy, but it hasn’t. I’ve been feeling quite stuck as to what direction to go in and mostly wanting to hide. So I decided to go back to drawing and see where that took me and I’m beginning to see some chinks of light in the darkness. There’s still more to do but I’m getting somewhere. Hence being the fearless artist. Stepping out of my comfort zone and it’s scary but also exciting.

What are you up to this year? How are you going to step out of your comfort zone?

Until next time
