23 Oct Frieze masters
Now we move on to Frieze Masters. It was my first time there. I’d heard good things and they were true. It was really enjoyable. A lot calmer and smaller than Frieze, with some truly amazing work on show. A real mix of antiques and art. They worked well together.
Here are some of my highlights:

Gorgeous colours and feeling in this painting

Love the bleeding purple paint

I’m guessing this is a headdress of some kind. It’s a very pleasing shape

A beautifully displayed mask

Some Patrick Calder birds.

Another lovely Calder painting. The simplicity is so pleasing.

I’m very drawn to the clean lines and colours of this painting

You can’t beat a Cy Twombly drawing

Gorgeous red and orange

lovely watery textures in the Sam Gillam painting

I love the scrolly trellis effect here

And one last mask
