Swallow

He comes, he comes, who loves to hear
Soft sunny hours and seasons fair
The swallow hither comes for rest
His sable wing and snowy breast.

The swallow is almost universally seen as the herald of Spring. The above poem is from a song that children on Island of Rhodes would sing to welcome the bird.

There is something magical about spring and the energy that it brings. The swallow is such an elegant sleek birds that always makes me happy to see it.
