Phyllida Barlow at Tate Britain

I know I’m a bit late to the party, but I finally made it to Tate Britain last week. I mostly went to see the British Folk Art exhibition but also to see the changes to the building that were finished last year. I had lunch in the new members room which was a beautiful tranquil space, such a difference from the old members room in Tate Britain.

The other thing I wanted to see was the Phyllida Barlow sculptures in the Duveen Galleries. I’d read lots about them and seen many pictures, but they hadn’t prepared me for the scale of the sculptures. They are so massive. The Duveen Galleries are a large space to fill and Phyllida Barlow really does.

The sculptures are amazing, they really transform the space.  What do you think?  Have you been to see them?

Here are a few pics I took
