Miami

I have posted here before about my trips to Miami.  And I was lucky enough to go there again last December.  The BF’s company has a conference in Florida in early December, so it seems the perfect time to combine a trip to the sunshine.

This year we decided to go during Art Basel Miami Beach.  Normally we go just after.  It was fun being there for Art Basel, but I have to say I think I prefer it when everyone has gone home and Miami is lovely and quiet.

Here are a few of my pics from the trip.

First up we went to Design Miami.  It is probably the perfect size for an art fair, there were only about 10 stands, it was quite a relaxing experience, a trip to the VIP lounge and glass of Perrier Jouet champagne helped.

Here are my favourite things in Design Miami.

I love this head, made from glass, he looks so cheeky!

here’s all of them, just love them

Art Basel was a whole other kettle of fish.  It was huge! About 2 blocks huge to exact.  We arrived on a role after Design Miami, fortified by our champagne and were some what overwhelmed by it.  It was so big you couldn’t see the end of it!.

Here are a few of my picks.

This was covering the whole wall of a booth, such an amazing collection of images

Loved this Sarah Lucas chair, someone tried to sit in it though which probably not a good idea

I loved muted colours on this one.

That was my selection from the fair.  The rest of trip mostly revolved around time on the beach and eating lovely cuban food.

Until  next time
